Photorejuvenation

In keeping with Solution’s philosophy to provide treatments individually tailored to your skin’s need, we now have control over all of the treatment parameters required to optimize your results, while maintaining the unique safety and comfort features unique to our Cutera laser.

TREATMENT
Our photorejuvenation treatments address an array of superficial pigment and vascular changes caused by the sun that occur in the surface and mid skin layers. An innovative way to quickly, safely and comfortably stimulate the most superficial collagen layer, improve Rosacea, fade fine veins, and remove sun spots and age spots from your face, chest, arms, and hands without gel or topical anesthetics. It’s a must for anyone with redness on the neck and chest (you know the kind that won’t go away no matter how much sunscreen you use—that’s called poikiloderma)

RESULTS
The signs of sun damage will flake off after one or more treatments leaving clear, younger looking skin. A series of treatments is recommended, along with daily sun protection from here on out to help maintain the results.

POST
1.) Expect redness in the treatment sites for 24 hours and swelling may occur for 1-2 days.  Use ice packs as needed to the treatment sites until this clears.  If blistering or prolonged swelling occurs, please phone the office at 901-853-6428.
2.) A “bug bite”, welt or hive-like appearance may occur and will resolve within 1-2 days.
3.) Bruising may occur but will resolve with time.
4.) The treated pigment will turn darker (brown to black) within 24-48 hours. -Do not pick at treated areas and those on the face will exfoliate off in approximately 1 week and off the body in approximately 2-3 weeks.
5.) Avoid heat including exercise, hot tubs/saunas and direct sun exposure for 48 hours.
6.) Avoid skin irritants such as skin care products with vitamin C, tretinoin, retinol, glycolic/salicylic acids, benzoyl peroxide, astringents etc. until redness/swelling clears.
7.) Wash treatment sites with a gentle cleanser and use a gentle moisturizer until redness/swelling clears.
8.) Continue to apply a broad-spectrum SPF #30 sunscreen daily and avoid excessive sun exposure to prevent further sun damage.
9.) Makeup may be worn unless crusting develops.
