Kate Gassaway, RN, MSN, APRN-BC

Founder & Nurse Practitioner

Kate is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and earned both her BSN and MSN from the University of Memphis, after attending the University of Mississippi for 3 years. As a registered nurse at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, she participated in years of the highest quality of patient care through evidence-based practice. She then became a Nurse Practitioner at both Humphrey’s Family Practice and OB/GYN Specialists in Memphis.

In February 2008, she opened what is now Solutions Medical Center with the dream of having her own patient-centered, customized medical practice which fuels her unparalleled passion for helping others feel better from the inside out. Solutions Medical Center is a “one stop shop” for functional medicine as well as advanced aesthetics that is expanding with exciting new additions on the horizon.

Kristen Anderson, BSN, MSN, NP-C

Nurse Practitioner

Kristen is a native Memphian and has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for 14 years. She has a variety of clinical experiences from Internal Medicine to Endocrinology and Pediatrics. She was trained initially by an internal medicine physician, who believed that each patient was a unique individual that requires personalized time and attention, much like functional medicine.

She initially became a patient at Solutions Medical Center when, despite her medical background, she struggled to find answers for her own troubling symptoms. This marked the beginning of her personal journey with Hashimoto’s and histamine intolerance. The deep frustration of feeling dismissed by traditional healthcare fueled her determination to become as knowledgeable as possible, so she could offer the kind of care she herself only found at Solutions. Patients frequently describe her as "endearing," "compassionate," and an "educated, personable teacher." She considers it her calling to provide holistic care to others and feels privileged to be part of the Solutions Medical Center family.

Dakota Doss, BSN, MSN, NP-C

Dakota holds a Master of Science in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner) from the University of South Alabama. She is a distinguished healthcare professional with a deep-seated passion in functional medicine, cultivated through personal insights gained from her family members’ battles with autoimmune diseases. This experience has shaped her commitment to integrating functional medicine and investigating root causes into both her clinical practice and personal health regimen, underpinned by a nontoxic organic approach to wellness.

With an extensive 7 year nursing career spanning critical care and interventional radiology, Dakota excels in complex, high-stakes medical environments. Her role emphasizes not only procedural excellence but also a dedication to fostering patient education, empowerment, and the creation of tailored, evidence-based treatment plans. Dakota’s commitment to service extends beyond domestic healthcare; her global contributions include medical missions in Zambia and Costa Rica, underscoring her dedication to health equity and global medical outreach.
